Egyptian God Set

NB: This article can be found after the following introductory passages.

Before you read this article, please note that, from 1996, I (Pari, the author of this article) had begun to see numerous visions. I was trying to understand what was happening to me. As I was trying to understand this, I began writing all the articles which can be found in this website. Each article is a continuation of the earlier one. So what I had explained in earlier articles were not explained in subsequent articles. This had also allowed me to keep developing what I have to explain. After I had written numerous articles, people were asking me as to which articles they had to read in order to understand something or the other. Thus, in 2015, I began to write books. All the knowledge which a person needs, so as to understand the contents of a book, are given in the book. Thus, a person could understand the contents of a book without having to revert to other articles or books. However, a better understanding could be had through reading the other books. I had also begun writing my first book “Holographic Universe : An Introduction” because I began to have a good understanding on the structure of the Holographic Universe through experiences, guidance from God, research, etc.

It should be remembered that my articles were written while I was trying to understand what was happening to me. So, the emphasis in the articles may have been on my own roles (due to the afterlife of my past births). In my books, I concentrate on just explaining knowledge and not really on giving an explanation on my own role.

It should be noted that since there are so many articles, I find it very difficult to update the articles. So there may be information in them which has not been updated. I try my best to keep my eBooks updated.

Anyway, to have a better understand of what has been said in this article, read all my earlier articles. Begin by reading the first article which is numbered as No.1 at my List of Articles. Then, re-read this article to have a better understanding. It should be noted that all my articles were written based on time being cyclic. Click here to understand the basics of the Cycle of Time.

Egyptian God Set

Posted on Sep 9 2011

(Includes discussion on Set, Horus, Osiris, Isis, Neith, 'Ra and His Solar Boat', Ramses 2, Seti 1, Psamtik I / Psammetichus I, Necho 2, Ancient Eternal Deity Religion)

Set was one of the earliest gods of the ancient Egyptian religion. This ancient Egyptian religion is actually a branch off from the Ancient Eternal Deity Religion. There are similarities between the gods in all the branches of the Ancient Eternal Deity Religion. Thus, there are similarities between Set and other gods in the branches of the Ancient Eternal Deity Religion. However, Set began to play the role of a special Egyptian god when the ancient Egyptians began to actively get involved with the 'afterlife' which will, finally, result in attaining immortality through the Confluence Age

(at the end of the Cycle).

The following passage has been taken from : http://www.touregypt.net/featurestories/set.htm

'On one of Seti I's reliefs, it shows Set and Horus offering the symbol of life to the pharaoh, with Set saying "I establish the crown upon thy head, even like the Disk on the head of Amen-Ra, and I will give thee all life, strength and health." Thothmose III had a scene showing Set teaching him the use of the bow, while Horus taught him yet another weapon.'

I will begin explaining the above quote from now onwards. Seti 1 is the father of Ramses 2 in the ancient Egyptian 19th Dynasty. Set plays an important role for immortality of Ramses 2. So, the father of Ramses 2 was portrayed as Seti (one who belongs to the path of Set). Thothmose III is a pharaoh in 18th Egyptian Dynasty. I will be discussing Seti 1 and Thothmose III, later.

Amen-Ra is a representation of “God in a combined form with His Confluence Aged instruments, at the end of the Cycle”. The 'Disk on the head of Amen-Ra' also represents the self-sovereign state of the Raja Yogis in the Confluence Age (at the end of the Cycle). Set having the ability to establish the crown upon the head of the Pharaoh “even like the Disk on the head of Amen-Ra” and Set giving the Pharaoh “all life, strength and health" represents God blessing the birth role (of that pharaoh) with the ability to stay in an emerged state until the end, of the Cycle, when the past birth will play an active part for clarification while the soul makes effort to attain immortality. Thus, Set was portrayed as the crowner of pharaohs.

In the above quote, Set “teaching him the use of the bow, while Horus taught him yet another weapon” represents how God teaches us how to become immortals, at the end, through :

1. the Confluence Aged roles (represented through Horus teaching how to use a weapon), and

2. the past births who play the role of the mapmaker/Nephilim (represented through Set teaching to use a weapon).

My second Copper Aged past birth (Ramses 2) plays the role of the mapmaker and Nephilim (Giant). I will be discussing the Nephilim in later articles.

Set was also portrayed as the leader of warriors because the warrior role, in the Copper Aged life-dramas, connected the Copper Age to the Confluence Age (at the end of the Cycle). Later, when I discuss the ancient battles, I will be discussing the connection between the warriors in the Copper Aged life-dramas to the Confluence Aged spiritual warriors. The Confluence Aged spiritual warriors, at the end of the Cycle, battle against the vices and they also re-gain world rule at the beginning of the Golden Age. The Copper Agedpeople represented this warrior aspect through the use of weapons, wars and hunting.

In the above quote, 'Set and Horus offering the symbol of life to the pharaoh' represents how God uses both roles (Confluence Aged role of Horus and the mapmaker/Nephilim role) so as to help that pharaoh (soul) to attain immortality by the end of the Cycle.

The people in the first half Cycle are considered as the 'living' because their souls are in a lighted up state because of their divinity. The people in the Copper Age and Iron Age are considered as 'dead' because the souls have lost the light of divinity. The afterlife, which is achieved through worshipping Set, enables the soul to play a role that will finally help the soul to transform into the divine state. This enables the soul to enjoy the light of divinity, and live again (as a deity), in the first half Cycle.

The ancient Egyptians associated 'Life' to immortality. In the first half Cycle, all souls enjoy immortality. Immortality is enjoyed when the soul is filled with the light of divinity. At the end of the Cycle, when the deity souls transform back into the divine state, the deities are brought back to life and they live in the first half Cycle while enjoying immortality. But the Copper Aged Pharaoh are not just blessed with the ability to enjoy immortality when it is re-gained at the end of the Cycle. The Pharaohs are also blessed to play an immortal role which will finally assist the soul to regain immortality (for the soul) at the end of the Cycle. Thus, the birth role of the Pharaoh is given life in the afterlife so that the birth role can continue living and not get buried deep within the soul (as it should).

Set was given the special role of blessing the pharaoh for the afterlife and 'immortality of the birth role' because worship was done to God (as Set) so as to play the role of the mapmakers/Nephilim. But it is when the role of Horus begins to get used, at the end of the Cycle, that the soul attains immortality. So, for the Copper Aged Reptilians, the journey for immortality begins with using Set. This journey for immortality ends through using Horus and Ra. This is also why, during Ra's journey in the Solar Boat (in the Underworld), originally, Set played a very important role. Then, by the end of the journey in the Underworld, Set no longer plays a role in the Solar Boat.

In the myth, Set has been portrayed as the protector of Ra, and His Solar Boat, during Ra's journey in the Underworld. Set was portrayed as a companion and protector of the Sun God Ra :

1. because of the Reptilian role that is played by the Copper Aged past births at the end of the Cycle, and

2. because God plays both roles (of Set and Ra), at the end of the Cycle, after the past births emerge to play their role.

God plays the role of Set :

1. for the success of the Confluence Aged service (at the end of the Cycle),

2. to successfully play His role as the Creator God Ra (at the end of the Cycle), and

3. to safe-guard the Solar Boat. The Solar Boat includes the Confluence Age and everything that is done from the beginning of the Copper Age for the Confluence Aged service.

The Reptilian role, which helps Ra and His Solar Boat, was established at the beginning of the Copper Age and it is supposed to make sure that the way is properly paved for the Confluence Aged Aged service (which takes place at the end of the Cycle). Then, at the end of the Cycle, the clarification given through the mapmaker/Nephilim roles will help to make the Confluence Aged spiritual journey, to the other side (of the new Cycle), easy.

Set was also portrayed as the one who defended Ra's Solar Boat during each night, as it traveled through the Underworld, because :

1. of the Reptilian Collective Consciousness which plays it's role during the night (the Copper Age and the Iron Age),

2. the ancient people were building, creating legends and doing all sorts of other things related to the Mapmaker/Nephilim role and the Reptilian Collective Consciousness.

Set helping to defend Ra's boat, during the night, represents the eternal nature of the Ancient Eternal Deity Religion. It is because of this eternal nature of the Ancient Eternal Deity Religion that the Cycle of time has been divided into the Day and Night. The Day represents the first half Cycle and the Night represents the Copper Age and the Iron Age. It is this 'Day' and 'Night' that has also been represented in this myth relating to Ra's Solar Boat. When the soul has the light of divinity, the soul is lighted up like the Day. The soul is lighted up in this way during the first half Cycle. And so the first half Cycle is the day. When the soul loses the light of divinity, at the beginning of the Copper Age, the soul begins to look dull or dark. As the vices and sins increase, within the soul, the soul begins to get blacker and blacker. Thus, the second half Cycle is represented as the night, in the myths. In the first half Cycle (the day) the vices will not exist. The 'Day' begins with the Confluence Age at the end of the Cycle because the fruit of the Confluence Age is enjoyed in the first half Cycle.

In the myth, the serpent Apep (the vices), who is Ra's most dangerous enemy, swallows or tries to swallow Ra's Solar Boat during the night (the Copper Age and the Iron Age). Actually, Apep swallows Ra's Boat at the beginning of the Copper Age and Apep tries to swallow it after the Confluence Age comes into existence at the end of the Cycle. However, the vices will also try to disturb that which the ancient people have left behind for the end. And so Apep was portrayed as Ra's enemy through the whole night (Copper Age and Iron Age). Later, Set was demonised to make sure that people are afraid to disturb the tombs and upset all the other evidences left behind by the ancient people. Set was seen as the protector of all the evidences that were left behind by the ancient people. Thus, Set was protecting Ra's Boat during the night.

Set was portrayed as the only Egyptian god who could kill Apep (the vices) and who could free Ra's Solar Boat because all that which the ancient people had done (along with the role of the mapmakers/ Nephilim/past births) will help to:

1. make sure that the divine world is re-created at the end of the Cycle (thus removing Apep, the vices, from the face of the earth)

2. strengthen the faith of the Confluence Aged souls, at the end. This will help to remove the vices (Apep) and their influence. It will help those who are sailing across, to the other side (to the new Cycle), to sail smoothly. And this will help to bring in the new divine world.

At the end of the Cycle, it is only after the mapmakers/Nephilim play their role that the whole world gets to know of the Confluence Aged service. The mapmakers/Nephilim help to put the Confluence Aged service on the world stage and this, in turn, will help to completely remove the vices (Apep) from the face of the earth.

God (as Set) also protects Ra (all that which involve the creation process and the new creation) from Apep (the vices) during the night, at the end of the Cycle. Then, Ra plays his role of finishing the spiritual journey (without Set) and moves all that which is in His boat into the Day. I will explain this myth about Ra's journey, through the day and night, in later posts.

In the myth, where Set and Horus argue over rulership, the gods asked the goddess Neith as to who should be given the throne of Osiris.

In the myth, the goddess Neith replied that the office of Osiris should be given to his son Horus. Neith also said that they should tell the Lord of All, the Bull who lives in Heliopolis, to double Set's property.

Neith said that Horus should be given the throne of Osiris because World Rule has to pass back to the deity souls at the end of the Cycle when the divine world gets created. World rule is taken over by the Copper Aged Reptilians at the beginning of the Copper Age when the deity souls commit their first sinful action and thus lose their divine world. It was their own actions that had made them lose their divine world and so this was portrayed through Set killing Osiris.

Neith said that Set should be given more wealth because the Copper Aged Reptilians needed wealth to carry out their Copper Aged Reptilian tasks (which involve Set). The ancient Reptilians worshiped God, as Set, so as to play the immortal role of the mapmakers/Nephilim at the end of the Cycle.

The role of Set involves the afterlife of the pharaohs (especially of Ramses 2) which will be active at the end when the soul has to achieve immortality through the Confluence Age. Since the role of Set involved giving life to a birth role of a dead person, Set was seen as a friend of the dead, helping them to ascend to heaven on his ladder.

Set was also seen as a friend of the Dead because the role of Set is used to help the Confluence Aged souls of the Confluence Age, at the end of the Cycle. When our stage is good, in the Confluence Age, we are said to be dead while alive. I have explained 'dying alive' at:

Part 68 - Aliens, UFOs and Parallel Universes - Dying Alive (1 - Spiritual Birth, Spiritual Effort Making, Ghosts)

Part 69 - Aliens, UFOs and Parallel Universes - Dying Alive (2 - Attachment, Spiritual Effort Making; Dying Alive Does Not Mean that We Have to Commit Suicide)

Part 70 - Aliens, UFOs and Parallel Universes - Dying Alive (3 - Purification, Spiritual Effort Making)

(Discussion on: Set, the god of Confusion)

The Egyptian God Set is a god of :

1. confusion

2. chaos,

3. darkness,

4. foreign lands,

5. foreigners,

6. the desert,

7. wind

8. destruction,

9. thunder and storms.

In later posts, I will discuss why Set was portrayed as a god of foreign lands, foreigners, darkness, chaos, the desert, wind, destruction, thunder and storms. In this post, I am only going to begin a discussion relating to Set's role as the god of Confusion. Later, as we discuss ancient Egyptian history, especially in respect of Ramses 2, there will be more discussions on the 'Confusion' aspects relating to Set.

Set or Seth is also known as Setekh, Sutekh, Sutek, Sut, Suty, Seteh, and Setan.

Originally, Set was not worshiped as an evil god. It was later, that he was demonised. Set's image got changed as the practices and needs of the Copper Aged Reptilians changed. Thus, as the needs of the people changed, Set began to be portrayed as the god of darkness.

Originally, Set represented the forces of confusion and disturbance in the world. Those who had walked out of the divine world had become aware that they had moved into the Copper Age and that the time for confusion and disturbances had begun. They became aware that Confusion would be in it's worst state by the end of the Cycle. This awareness had made them create a character/role/god called Set to represent 'Confusion and chaos' in the myths which they created.

Those who had walked out of the divine world did not worship Set. They had begun worshiping God, while asking God to re-create the divine world which they had just lost. They had become aware that they needed to create religions which would help people to behave in a virtuous way. So they began to create the religious theories (along with the myths which they had started to create). Then, later, they began to ask God to give clarification for all the Confusion that might get created as a result of all the religious theories and myths that they were creating.

My past birth (Enki / Sumana Saman), who had walked out of the divine world, did not do bhakti to play the Mapmaker role; though he got to know that the soul, within him, will be used for giving clarification at the End. Thus, he helped create myths and bhakti practices which will be explained at the End. Through this, he had actually helped pave the way for Confusion (as per the World Drama). Confusion has to exist by the End of the Cycle because it was meant to be like that as per the World Drama.

Since the religious theories and myths, which the first generation had created, might create Confusion in the future; with time (from the second generation onwards), the Reptiliansbegan to intentionally put Confusion into the writings. Since there was bound to be Confusion existing by the End of the Cycle, the ancient people decided to put forward confusing theories and practices so that these can be given clarification at the End.

The second generation onwards, were also creating 'Confusion' so that it would provide a stage for a great show of clarification (at the End) when the Mapmakers provide the clarification. Chaos and Confusion makes sure that the people, at the End of the Cycle, will search for the Truth and self-realization. This search for the Truth would help to provide a stage for the clarification process (through the Mapmakers). Thus, from the second generation onwards, the Reptilians began using Set in a different way. Through worshiping God, as Set, they wanted to make sure that God will give the clarification at the End, through the Mapmakers, when He gives clarification through the Confluence Aged instruments.

Originally, the Reptilians portrayed Set as an instigator of confusion because it is in the World Drama that Confusion should exist by the End of the Cycle. This aspect in the World Drama was portrayed by the role of Set. It is later, from the second generation, that Reptilians began to portray Set as an instigator of Confusion in a different sense because they wanted God to help them bring about further Confusion (as per their plans) so that the Mapmakers / Nephilim can give clarification for these, at the End, with God's help.

Those who had walked out of the divine world did not do bhakti to play the role of the Mapmaker at the End of the Cycle. The second generation, from those who had walked out of the divine world, had begun the preparations for the Mapmaker and Nephilim roles. Thus, the second generation was also preparing for immortality of the Copper Aged Pharaohs so that the Pharaohs can remain in an emerged state until the soul gains immortality at the End of the Cycle.

Since Set was the God of Confusion, Set was naturally involved into the practices for the afterlife because the immortal past births would be used for giving clarification in relation to the 'Confusion' that exists by the End of the Cycle. Thus, around the time of Ramses 2, emphasis began to be given to Set when the ancient people were beginning to develop the practices for the afterlife.

The second generation was also preparing for immortality of the the Copper Aged people, through the people's participation in the Reptilian Collective Consciousness (from the Copper Age until the End when the souls will attain immortality through the Confluence Age). This enabled the people to begin their journey for immortality at that time itself. Thus, worship to Seth was encouraged so that the ancient people (as Copper Aged Reptilians) got involved with the Reptilian Collective Consciousness that would play it's role until the End. Appropriate practices were created for them to use during their worship of Seth so that the Reptilian Collective Consciousness will, finally, get linked to the Confluence Agedservice through the Mapmaker and Nephilim roles.

It is easy to do worship, so as to have our specific desires fulfilled, if we gave God specific roles (or if we gave our desires specific roles) and worshipped a specific role for what it represents. This is what is done, in the bhakti aspects of the Deity Religion, from the beginning of the Copper Age. For example, the role of Set was used (by the second Copper Aged generation onwards) to represent the 'instigator of Confusion'. When we worship God, through using the idol of Set (the instigator of Confusion), it is as if we are asking Godto fulfil our desires for “Confusion ” that would be clarified at the End. God fulfils our desires and so this desire for Confusion (that would be clarified at the End) would be fulfilled.

The Copper Aged Reptilians saw Set (God) as the one who will help the past births to remain in an emerged immortal state until the End of the Cycle. Using God in this way, would ensure that those past births would remain in an emerged state so as to play a role in the afterlife until immortality is achieved at the End of the Cycle. Thus, it is as if the ancient people had already begun their practices for immortality. When they worshiped Set with the intent to remain in the emerged immortal state, God blessed those past births with the ability to remain in an emerged state so as to play a role at the End. God gave this blessing because of their worship. Since Set is the God of Confusion and the afterlife, (when they worshiped Set) God will help to bring about confusion as well as enable the past births (or souls) to give the clarification (at the End).

Actually, it is not God who brings about Confusion. It is the human beings who will bring about Confusion because of their weak spiritual state. So Set represented more than just God's role. Set also represents that aspect in the World Drama, where Confusion will naturally be brought about by the End of the Cycle.

Since we did bhakti with the desire that God should help pave the way for Confusion (which will later be clarified) so that there can be a great show of clarity at the End, God will fulfill that desire. But this was also happening as per the World Drama.

When the services and worship/bhakti practices for the afterlife of Ramses 2 were completed (through the 20th Dynasty), Set began to be demonised so as to frighten people away from the tombs and, thus, prevent people from stealing things from the tombs etc (before the End of the Cycle). So, from the early Egyptian periods onward until well into the Late Period (long after Necho 2), the portrayal and use of Set had kept changing. I will be discussing all these further, when I discuss Egyptian history.

Since the worship of Set was also for the Reptilian Collective Consciousness (and Set is the god of confusion who later became the god of evil) a lot of confusion and evil exists now, where the Aliens and Greys are concerned. All this is also happening as per the World Drama.

Though the second generation began to purposely create 'Confusion', later generations began to create more Confusion because they were confused. They did this without realising that what they were doing would bring about further Confusion. They thought that they were involved with giving clarification (as would be given at the End of the Cycle). But it was not time for clarification as yet. All that, which was done, had only brought people into the most confused state by the End. This greater Confusion was also brought about because of the bhakti which the ancient people had done to God (as Set, the God of Confusion). But then, everything was also all happening as per the World Drama.

As per the World Drama, people have to be in a confused state by the End. So, one can't blame the Copper Aged Reptilians for the Confusion and chaos that exists now. The society has to deteriorate because of Entropy.

It has been said in the Brahma Kumaris that after the military man comes into the Brahma Kumaris, he will start talking and everyone will listen to him. From experiences, I know that this military man is the role of Skanda, the War Lord, who plays a leading role in God's army for world service. Since there are more than one person playing the role of Skanda, there will be many who might have been referred to by this 'military man'. I also play this role and so I understand what is happening in respect of this.

Not only do I play the role of Skanda but I also play the roles of the Nephilim and the Mapmaker. All these roles (Skanda, Nephilim and Mapmaker) are all connected to world service. Thus, when I am doing World Service, I can be using any of these roles. The roles of the Nephilim and the Mapmaker are roles that involve explaining historical events. The role of Skanda is a spiritual role which involves bringing victory for my World Service. Thus, when I say something explaining the historical events, the role of Skanda will ensure that this becomes a successful service. God will ensure that there is success in the service through using Skanda. God helps to bring success to the service:

1. because this service is Confluence Aged service, and

2. because of the bhakti which we had done in the Copper Age.

Thus, there be people influenced to listen to what I say and they, in turn, will play their part to turn it into a successful World Service. It will easily achieve success because what I am saying also relates to history and not just to religion or spirituality.

Set's role is also connected to the End, and the Confluence Age, through the connection between the roles of the Nephilim, Mapmaker and Skanda. It is because of this connection that there are a lot of spiritual points in the BK sakar murlis about Draupadi, Vyasa etc. It seems like as if they were mentioned so as to make the connection between the sakar murli and what I am doing now. It seems like as if these points are there in the sakar murlis so as to guide me in my explanations. God used Bhagirath to give the murlis and God uses me (as Ganga) now. Thus, the murli points have actually made it look like as if Bhagirath is guiding Ganga, as portrayed in the myths.

Soon after I began hearing the sakar murlis, God was constantly giving me experiences which showed that the God, who was guiding me before I came to the Brahma Kumaris, was the same God who spoke the BK sakar murlis. These experiences enabled me to accept that there was only one God and that it was God who had guided me into the Brahma Kumaris. My guidance into the Brahma Kumaris was the continuation of what was happening to me before I came into the Brahma Kumaris. All these guidance etc may have been given to me because I had done bhakti (in my past births) so as to play the role of the Mapmaker and Nephilim. Thus, God had to give me this guidance because, in my past births, I had worshiped God (as Set) so as to give clarification for the confusion that was intentionally created from the beginning of the Copper Age. But then, all of us have specific roles to play as per the World Drama. And God also uses us as per the World Drama.

It should be noted that in “Ra's Solar Boat” myth, Set does not really play a role, in Ra's Solar Boat, at the very end of the journey when the Solar Boat was about to move out of the Underworld. This is because the Nephilim and Mapmaker roles cannot walk into the divine world. Skanda also does not walk into the divine world but it is as if those who enjoy the role of Skanda enjoy the “fruit/divine state” in this world itself (before those who walk into the divine world enjoy the divine state of the new world). I have begun explaining this in my other articles, please read them through the Skanda link.

The End begins when the Confluence Age begins in 1936. It begins the time for clarification. God gives clarification in the Confluence Age. However, it is when the Mapmaker and Nephilim roles are played, at the very End, that clarification (for what the Copper Aged Reptilians have left behind) is given. This was one of the reasons why it was said, in the BKmurlis, that more clarification will only be given at the End.

Actually, it is not the End of the world now. It is only the End because the Nephilim and Mapmaker roles are supposed to be used at the End (and they are used now). The present time can also be seen as the End because, soon (from the end of 2012), the destructive events will begin to bring in a different kind of world that would exist, in the corporeal form by 2036. Thus, though Set's role is associated to the “End”, one must understand as to which phase, in 'the End', it refers to. Further, the roles of God as Set and Ra are connected to the 'Cycle' and to the 'ancient and eternal' nature of the Ancient Eternal Deity Religion. Thus, there cannot be any 'End' since everything repeats in a cyclic manner.

Actually, the Reptilians used the Egyptian God Ra, inter alia, for that which involved the Cycle, Confluence Age and the new creation at the End of the Cycle. They used Seth, inter alia, for Confusion, the afterlife and the Copper Aged Reptilian Collective Consciousness. Since Set plays a role in Ra's Solar Boat (and since Set represents God) God will give the clarification, at the End, through using the memories etc of the past births that are in an emerged state. Set, as the god of Confusion, has to be linked to God's role of giving clarification at the End because Confusion and clarification are linked to each other.
