2 Sumerian King List and Rule by Indra on Rotation

NB: This article can be found after the following introductory passages.

Before you read this article, please note that, from 1996, I (Pari, the author of this article) had begun to see numerous visions. I was trying to understand what was happening to me. As I was trying to understand this, I began writing all the articles which can be found in this website. Each article is a continuation of the earlier one. So what I had explained in earlier articles were not explained in subsequent articles. This had also allowed me to keep developing what I have to explain. After I had written numerous articles, people were asking me as to which articles they had to read in order to understand something or the other. Thus, in 2015, I began to write books. All the knowledge which a person needs, so as to understand the contents of a book, are given in the book. Thus, a person could understand the contents of a book without having to revert to other articles or books. However, a better understanding could be had through reading the other books. I had also begun writing my first book “Holographic Universe : An Introduction” because I began to have a good understanding on the structure of the Holographic Universe through experiences, guidance from God, research, etc.

It should be remembered that my articles were written while I was trying to understand what was happening to me. So, the emphasis in the articles may have been on my own roles (due to the afterlife of my past births). In my books, I concentrate on just explaining knowledge and not really on giving an explanation on my own role.

It should be noted that since there are so many articles, I find it very difficult to update the articles. So there may be information in them which has not been updated. I try my best to keep my eBooks updated.

Anyway, to have a better understand of what has been said in this article, read all my earlier articles. Begin by reading the first article which is numbered as No.1 at my List of Articles. Then, re-read this article to have a better understanding. It should be noted that all my articles were written based on time being cyclic. Click here to understand the basics of the Cycle of Time.

The Sumerian King List and the Rule by god Indra on Rotation

posted on 7-7-2013

NB: there is a brief explanation on the cycle, at the end of this article, for those who are not familiar with the Cycle of Time. For convenience, I am referring to those who walked out of the divine world, at the end of the Silver Age, as the Anunnaki since they have been referred to as the Anunnaki in the Sumerian myths. The Sumerian mythological names/roles like Enlil, Enki, Ningishzidda, Marduk, Anunna etc were only some of the roles which they were using. These people/souls had used many roles during the Mid-Confluence (Confluence between the Silver and Copper Ages). Their actual names were considered as being insignificant. I have begun an explanation on this at: Egyptian Ren & Mythical Names – Part 1 (Name of the Soul) and at Egyptian Ren & Mythical Names : Part 2 – Ancient Naming System.

(includes a discussion on the city-states before the Great Flood – Eridu, Badtibira, Larak, Sippar, Shuruppak; Galzu; Ninhursag, Sud, Ninlil, Ansud; Nannar; Utu; Ziudsura/Noah ; Churning of the Ocean myth; Dhanvantari - heavenly physician or doctor of the gods; Nibruki; waxing and waning moon; roles of Brahma, Vishnu and Shanker in the Mid-Confluence; Shanker’s drum, tiger skin and snake)

After the Anunnaki had gone to the Middle East, to create new city-states for the gods, they began to rule the world on a rotation basis. Thus, the ancient people had left behind the Sumerian King List which gives the order of world rule. Though there were more than 5 city-states, before the Copper Aged Great Flood, only 5 were listed to have held the kingship because it was only these 5 city-states that were involved with taking care of the operational and administrative activities, on earth, on behalf of the Anunnaki. The other city-states were not involved with operational and administrative activities. So there was no need for them to get involved with world rule on earth.

One of the main functions of the five city-states was to mine gold, process it and then to transport the gold to Nibiru/Nibru (the city-states that had existed from the first half cycle and which were getting destroyed through earthquakes). They wanted to use the gold to keep their world that was being destroyed. They wanted to make sure that they could return to their city-states which had existed from the beginning of the Golden Age. After the Copper Aged Great Flood, the gold was also used for the construction of new city-states, for Marduk’s practices which gave immortality to birth-roles, etc.

Just before the Copper Aged Great Flood, it was obvious that the Anunnaki could not return to the Silver Aged world because they have already moved into the Copper Aged world. The Sumerian myths portray this through Galzu informing the Anunnaki that they should not return to Nibiru/Nibru and that they should stay on earth. Galzu represented God (acting as per the World Drama). During the Mid-Confluence (Confluence between the Silver and Copper Ages), the people were guided by what exists in the World Drama. This is a reason why the World Drama was often included into the concept of their ‘God’.

It was not easy to rebuild a world; and neither was it easy to mine and process gold. So soon after the Anunnaki had gone to the Middle East, they took turns to take care of what was happening in the world. This allowed the others to take time off for meditation, rest, getting together for making further plans, enjoying life, etc. This was also a reason why Shanker was portrayed as meditating on Shiva and why Vishnu was portrayed as resting on the Ocean.

Brahma, Vishnu and Shanker are roles that are used, at the end, for the Golden Aged creation. However, Brahma, Vishnu and Shanker were also god roles that were used by the rulers of the 4 kingdoms, during the Mid-Confluence. The Ocean, on which Vishnu was resting, represented the Copper Aged Great Flood and the Confluence Aged subtle regions. I have begun a discussion on the Confluence Aged aspects (of the ‘Ocean’ as the primordial, Brahma, Vishnu and Shanker) in my earlier articles. The Mid-Confluence Aged or historical aspects (of the ‘Ocean’, Brahma, Vishnu and Shanker) will be dealt with in later articles.

During the Mid-Confluence there were 4 main kingdoms (Bharath, Lemuria, Mu and Atlantis). Thus, it was decided that the rulers of each of these kingdoms will rule on a rotation basis. Each of the four rulers, of the 4 kingdoms, had a city-state in the Middle East which was involved with ‘operations’ (for what was being done by the Anunnaki). Thus, each of those gods and their city-state, in the Middle East, was to have kingship on a rotation basis.

I am not going to discuss the different versions of the Sumerian King List here. I will be discussing the various King Lists, in later articles. In this article, I am only going to use relevant information which is in most of the King Lists. The 5 city-states which were listed in the Sumerian King List, in the order of rule or succession before the Copper Aged Great Flood, are as follows:

1. Eridug (Eridu), which was Enki’s city-state.

2. Badtibira, which was the city-state of Nannar (the moon god).

3. Larag (Larak), which was the city-state of Ninurta, the son of Enlil.

4. Zimbir (Sippar), which was the city-state of Utu.

5. Curuppag (Shuruppak) which was the city-state of Ninhursag/Sud/Ninlil/Ansud.

Out of the 5 city-states, in the Sumerian King List, the first 4 were the city-states of the rulers of the four kingdoms. Enki, whose city state was Eridu, was the King of Lemuria. Nannar, whose city state was Badtibira, was the King of Mu. Ninurta, whose city state was Larak, was the crown-prince of Bharath. Utu, whose city state was Sippar, was the King of Atlantis. When one comes across the name ‘Utu’ in the myths, one must ascertain as to which of the following it is referring to because Utu represented:

1. God (the Supreme Soul, who is a Point of Light).

2. the sun (which was used to represent God for worship purposes, during the Mid-Confluence).

3. the King of Mu.

One of the reasons why Enki went to the Middle East was to look for gold so as to strengthen his city-state in Lemuria, which was getting destroyed, and also to build/strengthen Dwarka (which was supposed to be the new city-state of Bharath and Lemuria). I have begun a discussion on ‘Dwarka being built during the Mid-Confluence for joint rule’ at:

1. First Great Flood in the Cycle until the Events which Bring in the Ice Age

2. Vritra and his 99 Castles in the Ice Age – Part 1

3. History - Compared

4. Devavrata/Bhishma and Ningishzidda

Since Enki was the first to go to the Middle East, the first reign was from Eridu. At first, Enki ruled alone. Then, Enlil joined Enki in the Middle East. So Enlil and Enki ruled together. Thus, it was like as if 2 kings ruled when kingship was from the city-state of Eridu. Enki and Enlil were also ruling through using others.

Then, the city-state of Mu began to get destroyed. So the ruler of Mu (Nannar) had gone to the Middle East to find gold, so that he could use it to keep his city-state which was in Mu. Therefore the next reign was by Nannar, who ruled from Badtibira. However, Enki and Enlil continued to play a significant role for world rule. So it was like as if 3 kings had ruled, during the reign from Badtibira. All three kings/gods were also ruling through using others, as kings. Even the Queens of the 4 kingdoms began to play a significant role during the reign from Badtibira (the city-state of the moon god, Nannar). Previously, it was only the kings who played an active role for administration. The queens were consulted, since they were rulers, before the Kings take actions. However, during the reign from Badtibira, the queens had begun playing an active role for administration.

The situation changed during the reign from Larak (the city-state of Ninurta, the son of Enlil). All the rulers of the 4 kingdoms took a break. So it was as if only one ruler was ruling, during that reign. Ninurta was also ruling through using representatives.

Then, the city-state in Atlantis was threatened by destructive events. So Utu came, to the Middle East, so as to get gold for construction in Atlantis. Therefore, the next reign was by Utu from Sippar (the city-state of Utu, the sun god). During the reign of Utu, the Anunnaki knew that the Flood was going to take place soon. So it was decided that everyone should participate actively again, collectively as instruments of God/Utu (the Supreme Soul represented as the Sun God), in preparation for the coming Flood. The gods began to make plans for what to do.

The next reign from Shuruppak was for getting things done, in preparation for the Flood. During the reign from Shuruppak, rule was by the women because the women were uplifted and used by God through the Confluence Age, at the end. So Curuppag (Shuruppak), before the Copper Aged Great Flood, was the city-state of Ninhursag/Sud/Ninlil/Ansud.

In the Sumerian myths, Sud represents the role of the woman who was raped by Enlil, before she was married to Enlil. After marriage to Enlil, she was referred to as Ninlil. Ninhursag also represented the Queen of Bharath (Enlil’s wife). However, sometimes, others had played the role of Ninhursag too. Ninhursag was a role that was used by all the female rulers of the 4 kingdoms, even though it normally represented Enlil’s wife (since Bharath was the leading kingdom among all the 4 kingdoms).

Ansud was the goddess of grain. She was portrayed as the goddess of Shuruppak because, during the reign of Shuruppak, the Anunnaki gave importance to storage of grains. They had to store grains because of the coming Flood.

During the reign of Shuruppak, the Anunnaki were involved with preparations for survival during the Great Flood. It was also the time when Ziudsura/Noah was prepared so that he can be taken into the new world and used there. To make sure that he did not become an anaryan, he was told/reminded about the importance of living a virtuous life, etc. Many were used for the role of Ziudsura/Noah. Those who were used for the role of Ziudsura/Noah, were also instructed on how to get the craft built so that humans and other species can survive the coming Great Flood. In the myths, what was happening in Shuruppak (during the Mid-Confluence), was connected to what was happening in the Confluence Age and at the end of the cycle (when preparations are made to walk into the new world). I will be discussing the role of Ziusudra/Noah in Shuruppak, during this reign before the Copper Aged Great Flood, in later articles.

During the reign of Shuruppak, the Anunnaki also gave importance to medical care, knowledge, leaving behind records for the future, etc. This was also a reason why, in the Churning of the Ocean myth, one of the valuables that emerged from the churning was Dhanvantari (the heavenly physician or doctor of the gods). Dhanvantari also represented God, during the Confluence Age, at the end of each cycle. I have already begun explaining the Confluence Aged aspects, of the Churning of the Ocean myth, in earlier articles. It can also be said that the Churning of the Ocean took place during the Copper Aged Great Flood because the Anunnaki were involved with understanding and applying knowledge. I have not explained the historical aspects (Mid-Confluence Aged aspects), of the Churning of the Ocean myth, as yet. I am planning to do this, in later articles.

As per the World Drama, when the gods/humans lose their divine world (at the end of the Silver Age), their city-states get destroyed by earthquakes and then sink into the earth or waters. Thus, the rulers of the city-states will have to build a new world or new city-states for themselves. The city-states which they had built, in the Middle East, began to be seen as the new world. This was portrayed in the Sumerian King List through the words ‘after the kingship descended from heaven, the kingship was in Eridug’. This means that after the rulers lost their divine world, rule began in Eridu.

Enki was the first to go and build his city-state (Eridu) in the Middle East. Then, the other rulers had joined him in the Middle East. So the work-load began to be shared among them. The 8 rulers of the 4 kingdoms, who had gathered in the Middle East, had collectively played a significant role for world rule. Thus, the Sumerian King List states that eight kings had ruled, through the 5 cities, before the Great Flood. These 8 kings represented:

1. the corporeal aspect of the 8 Anunnaki rulers.

2. the representatives (who were ruling on behalf of the 8 rulers of the 4 kingdoms).

Though all the rulers of the 4 kingdoms were ruling together, the reign of each city-state was portrayed as being one after the other (in the Sumerian King List) because of the rotation system. As per the agreement of the gods and rulers, kingship or reign was transferred from one city to another. However, this did not mean that the 8 rulers were not ruling, the world, together.

When a god of a city-state takes over kingship, he rules as Indra, the king of the gods. So many used the role of Indra because of the rotation system for kingship. The rulers of these city-states were portrayed as Indra, in the Hindu scriptures, because they were ruling over gods, in the city-states of the gods.

The first Indra to be the king of the gods was Enlil. Even though the first city-state to have world rule was Eridu, it was Enlil who was playing the role of Indra because of the joint rule agreement between Bharath and Lemuria. I have briefly explained this joint rule agreement at:

1. First Great Flood in the Cycle until the Events which Bring in the Ice Age

2. The Ancient Hopi People

3. TIME as the Destroyer, as Krishna, as the Cycle of Time & as God's Time on Earth at the End

Though it was Enlil who began the role of Indra, even Enki was portrayed as Indra in the Hindu legends because it was Enki who began rule in the Middle East. So it was as if after Enki began rule from Eridu, Enlil took over world rule, during the reign from Eridu. Though Enlil was reigning as Indra, Eridu had always remained as the city-state of Enki.

Nibruki, which was later referred to as Nippur, was the city-state of Enlil. Nibruki means ‘Earth Place of Nibiru/Nibru’. Nibiru/Nibru represented the Confluence Aged subtle region and the Silver Aged city-states that were being destroyed during the Mid-Confluence. It was the soul within Enlil who plays the most significant role with God in the Confluence Aged subtle region, at the end. This was also why Nibruki was portrayed as Enlil’s sacred place. Nibruki represented Nibiru/Nibru on earth. Nibruki was also the place where the computerised systems were kept and used, so as to send information to the Anunna rulers in Nibiru/Nibru (the Silver Aged city-states that were getting destroyed). Nibruki was not involved with operational activities. After the Copper Aged Great Flood, it became the religious center of Sumer.

After Enlil had reigned as Indra, the King of Mu (who is also referred to as Nannar in the Sumerian myths) became Indra. Then, Ninurta became Indra. Finally, the ruler of Atlantis (Utu, the sun god) became Indra. When the others became Indra for a period of time, it did not deprive Enlil of his authority. It could not be said that Enlil was no longer having world rule when others were ‘Indra’ because the others were acting on Enlil’s behalf.

After the Copper Aged Great Flood, the rule through the rotation system also allowed others (who had desires to be Indra) to enjoy using that role. Those who used the role of Indra, after the Copper Aged Great Flood, were supposed to help the humans/mortals and make sure that everything was alright for the humans/mortals. This was also portrayed through the Hindu mythical stories and through an Indra being given a role in every Manvantara.

In the Garuda Purana, it has been said that it is Brahma who also adopts the forms of Vishnu and Shanker. It was portrayed in this way because:

1. the Confluence Aged spiritual effort makers, who are ‘Brahma’, also use the angelic bodies of Vishnu and Shanker.

2. each Anunnaki, during the Mid-Confluence, was using all these 3 god roles of Brahma, Vishnu and Shanker. In the Hindu myths, it has been portrayed that each Manvantara is ruled by a Manu on behalf of Brahma because the Anunnaki were acting as Brahma while they were involved with the creation of a new world, after the Copper Aged Great Flood.

During the Mid-Confluence, Brahma, Vishnu and Shanker represented the rulers of the other 3 kingdoms who were not playing the role of Indra because they were resting, meditating etc. After the Copper Aged Great Flood, the Anunnaki (who was playing the role of Indra) was also resting while his representative was acting as Indra. Thus, he was also like a Brahma, Vishnu or Shanker. This was a reason why Brahma, Vishnu and Shanker were portrayed as gods of a higher level than the other gods.

After the Copper Aged Great Flood, when others were playing the role of Indra, they were doing so on behalf of Enlil and the other Anunnaki. This was also a reason why, in the Hindu myths, Indra and the gods were portrayed as taking matters of concern to Brahma, Vishnu or Shanker. For example during the Aryan-Anaryan wars, Vishnu was turned to for help. Vishnu was also portrayed as taking avatars, like Rama and Krishna, so as to handle the Anaryan matter on earth. Another example is where Indra asked Chandra/moon to turn to Shiva for help (when the moon started to wane and thus, had gone to Indra for help). Indra informed Chandra that only Shanker/Shiva could help because Shanker/Shiva was a Maha-Deva and not a Deva. Shanker/Shiva was supposed to be greater than all the gods/devas put together. The moon was portrayed as waning because the deity souls became aware that they were losing their spiritual strength. I have explained about the waning and waxing moon at:

1. Part 38 - Aliens, UFOs and Parallel Universes - Hindus pray to God (Alien to our World), Baby Ganesha story

2. Part 40 - Aliens, UFOs and Parallel Universes - The Hidden Meanings in the Baby Ganesha Story (2)

3. Part 44 - Aliens, UFOs and Parallel Universes - Parvati & Shiva (3 - Moon on Shiva's Head, Third Eye)

4. Part 45 - Aliens, UFOs and Parallel Universes - Parvati & Shiva (4 - Moon, Ganga, New World)

5. Part 46 - Aliens, UFOs and Parallel Universes - Parvati & Shiva(5 - Moon on Shiva's Head, Nitya Kala)

6. Part 47 - Aliens, UFOs and Parallel Universes - Parvati & Shiva (6 - 3rd, 4th and 5th day moons)

7. Part 48 - Aliens, UFOs and Parallel Universes - Parvati & Shiva (7 - Ganesha Curses Moon Story, Cursed Moon)

8. Part 49 - Aliens, UFOs and Parallel Universes - Parvati & Shiva (8 - Moon, Nitya Kala, celebrations)

It is only during the Confluence Age, at the end, that the deity souls will be helped by God (Shiva) to become spiritually powerful again (the waxing process) as God places us in His care. In the myths, Shiva represented God playing His role, at the end, during the Confluence Age. It is God who is greater than all the deity souls put together. God (the Supreme Soul) is like an Ocean while each deity soul is only like a drop, in comparison. However, Shanker was also portrayed as a maha-deva because the gods who were using the role of Shanker, during the Mid-Confluence, belonged to the higher god clan.

In the myths, Shiva was represented by Shanker because the Mid-Confluence Aged rulers were playing God, on God’s behalf. However, it was the Anunna rulers, Enki, Ningishzidda and Marduk who were mainly represented as Shanker. Enki was often portrayed as Shanker because God/Shiva and Enki (the Copper Aged Shanker) will be playing their roles together, at the end, for destruction. This was also why Shanker was portrayed as being seated upon a tiger skin or wearing a tiger skin. The tiger belongs to the cat family. I have explained the role of the Cat at:

The Cat and the Monkeys (Vali, Sugriva and Hanuman)

Since the Copper Aged Shanker and God/Shiva play a role together (at the end), it was portrayed like as if Shanker and Shiva are one and the same. They were also portrayed as one and the same because God and the Confluence Aged Shankers play their roles together, at the end, for world transformation.

In Shanker’s left hand there is a trident in which the drum (damroo) is bound. Shiva, as Lord Nataraja, also holds a drum. This drum is supposed to make the final sound of death and also the primordial vibrations of life. This also represents that those who played the role of the Copper Aged Shanker will be involved with beating the ‘drums’ on the world stage, at the end, as the Gathering of the Confluence Aged Shankers are ready for World Transformation.

The tamed snake around Shanker’s neck represents that the Copper Aged immortal snakes will be used by God/Shiva, at the end. So we are safe around Shiva’s neck now, even though we are in the Confluence Aged subtle region called Brahmapuri. The tamed snake around Shanker’s neck also represented that Enki, Ningishzidda and Marduk were keeping control over those who played the role of the Nagas, during the Mid-Confluence. Shanker killing the tiger (a member of the cat family) and using the skin also represented that Enki, Ningishzidda and Marduk were taking control over what has to be done for the immortal role of Nimrod.

Sometimes Brahma, Vishnu, Shanker and Indra were portrayed as asking someone to do something. They were portrayed as doing this because they asked someone, or some people, who were using a role, to do something. The ancient people had used roles. It was the roles that was given importance in the myths and not the actual names of the people. I have already begun an explanation on this at:

1. Egyptian Ren & Mythical Names : Part 1 - Name of the Soul

The city-states, after the Flood, will be discussed in another article. The role of Indra, after the Flood, will be discussed after I discuss the Manvantaras because every Manvantara (in the Hindu cycle) has a different Indra playing the role of Indra for the Manvantara.

Om Shanti

1. the divine world in the first half cycle: involving the Golden Age (Satyug) and then the Silver Age (Tetrayug).

2. the Confluence between the Silver and Copper Ages: where the world transforms back into the ordinary state (after a vice was entertained). For convenience, I refer to this Confluence as the Mid-Confluence.
